When the winds of change are blowing, it’s best to call your good friends in Colorado and hit the slopes together. I hadn’t broken in this season’s Epic pass, so Bill & Megan agreed to put me up in their spare room in Breckenridge and prepared for a week of fun.
What a fantastic way to start the ski season: it started with a Christmas party the evening of arrival, then an afternoon skiing solo at Breck the next day. Ski day #2 was with Bill at Beaver Creek, followed by ski #3 at Vail with Bill, Megan & George. Ski day #4 was again a solo day at Breck. Bill & Megan drove me back to Denver on the final day, including a sushi lunch and a few hours of exploring Meow Wolf Denver.
Sabbatical trip #2 – a smashing success. Just what the doctor ordered ~
